ACCESSIBILITY COMMITMENT

Designed so more families can use it

3A Family Hub uses WCAG 2.1 Level AA as its design baseline. Accessibility is treated as an ongoing requirement, not a one-time update.

Clear structure

Pages use meaningful headings, plain-language labels, descriptive links, and consistent navigation so information is easier to scan and understand.

Keyboard access

Links, buttons, menus, expandable sections, and carousel controls are intended to work without a mouse and show a visible focus indicator.

Readable presentation

Text and controls use strong contrast, mobile-friendly spacing, and touch targets designed for comfortable use on phones and tablets.

Motion and media

The site respects reduced-motion preferences. New images should include useful alternative text, and new video or audio content should include captions or an accessible equivalent.

Accessible documents

Whenever possible, important information is presented directly as accessible webpage content. Linked documents remain subject to the accessibility of their official source.

Ongoing review

Accessibility will be checked as pages, classroom information, documents, and interactive features are added or changed.

Need help accessing something?

If a page, document, control, or linked resource creates a barrier, please contact Mr. Acevedo through the Communication page. Families may request the information in another usable format. For official district accessibility questions, contact Milwaukee Public Schools through its official website.

Scope note: This independent classroom website is designed toward WCAG 2.1 Level AA, but this statement is not a formal accessibility certification or a legal determination that every linked third-party or MPS resource conforms.
